Microsoft will drop support for Vista (without any Service Packs) on April 13 and support for XP SP2 ends July 13. (i.e. no more security updates). If you are still running these, it it time to update.

What about XP 64bit which has no SP3?

According to here, Windows XP 64bit SP2 support will not be expiring before Windows XP 64bit as a whole otherwise will be, unless they do release a new service pack: http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=8599
