Port 55555 is listed upon a "netstat -anlp" under Linux as belonging to its version of AVG AntiVirus, or more properly, the application "avgscan" which is used by said tool. It will initiate a TCP connection to localhost and just sit there. This is verified by separate re-installs of the product from Grisoft's main web site.
