Developers: We have an API for you! 
Sure, they warn that this is alpha version, unaudited, and may have security issues. OK, understandable.
But then they also say: "The code is also ugly and undocumented".
This throws up a red flag for me. Code hygiene and documentation are not aspects one simply adds after the fact. Certainly no code is perfect on it's first writing, but this does not reflect well on their philosophy and mindset.
