Recommend InfoSec Books?
I would like to understand more of the technical aspects of Cybersecurity. I would rate myself somewhat of a beginner. Can anyone recommend some good books (or sites such as this one) to get me started?
Thank you.

Which areas of InfoSec are you most interested in? is the best way to get started with the hands-on technical aspects. This class provides the books.

On our site here we have a compilation of useful InfoSec links:

A nice list of Coursera classes can be found here:

Another good resource is OWASP:

A decent list of blogs/resources can be found here:

Books that I've found helpful:

Network Security Bible - The man himself: Dr. Eric Cole.

RTFM (Red Team Field Manual) - Ben Clark. Short and Sweet.

Blue Team Handbook - Don Murdoch.

If you would enjoy a lab:

BackTrack 5 Wireless Penetration Testing - Vivek Ramachandran. I enjoyed following this book because it has a section of "What Just Happened" after you complete a lab that explains what you just did.

Just a few to get started!
