Looks like it. It patches two things: FreeType and IOSurface. FreeType says "Viewing a PDF document with maliciously crafted embedded fonts may allow arbitrary code execution." Which I think is the jailbreaking is being done.
IOSurface says "Malicious code running as the user may gain system privileges." So probably both are used. One to get your code to execute and the other to get it executed as root.
