John writes in to report that Symantec has announced an issue with their current definition files that may generate false-positive alerts on .xls files.

FYI ......I had a client experience this issue this morning....(Weds).....but he was running Monday's virus signatures (05/07/2012 r38)

So it seems as if this problem existed before Tuesday's defs.....

Updating to Wed's defs resolved the issue
