RADIUS is usually used to authenticate remote users to network devices. Freuqnt applications are modem banks for dialup ISPs, terminal servers and router. One version of the Apache 'slapper' worm, which exploits an openssl bug, uses port 1812 (UDP) for control traffic within the P2P network it attempts to create. |
