Job Description

The Senior Manager of the Technical Security Operations Team oversees the security products and controls leveraged across the majority of Allstate’s workstation, server, and network environments.

In this role you will be responsible for multiple direct reports who each manage a team of security technicians handling the support and maintenance of many information security products. This includes executing lifecycle projects (upgrades, patching, capacity increases, new feature rollouts, migrations, and  decommissioning), providing Level 1 and 2 support, producing capacity and performance metrics, performing DR tasks, collaborating with architecture and engineering peers on roadmaps, as well as the development, recognition, and performance reviews of your staff.

Your teams follow Allstate’s Change, Event, Incident, and Problem processes; therefore a strong understanding of ITIL Service Operation and Service Transition stages are important.


Demonstrated success in leading leaders and achieving results through others.
Strong understanding of IT security best practices.
Strong understanding of ITIL Service Operations and Service Transition concepts.
Experience establishing and publishing operational metrics for services.
Solid knowledge of PCI DSS, HIPAA, ISO, NIST, and IT Controls.
Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, GSEC, GIAC, CRISC, or CISA are recommended.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Management or equivalent work experience.
Experience maintaining IT Security programs and controls for large enterprise environments recommended. 
Experience with the native security features within the various supported Windows, Mac, and Linux OS versions recommended.
Ability to effectively communicate and work with technical and non-technical resources at all levels of the organization.
Self-directed, work with minimal guidance, and recognize when guidance needed.
Understanding of Project Management tools, techniques & methodologies.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio).
