An Information Security Consultant (ISC) provides subject matter expertise and analysis to First Info Tech clients. The role of the ISC is to bridge the gap between high-level security policies/requirements and technical/operational implementation of those requirements. Our engineers work collaboratively to analyze problems and identify solutions. We are focused on the risks associated with security in the cloud and every day our staff members are faced with new and interesting challenges. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with customer to develop requirements for sites.
Create and maintain SharePoint sites, web parts, lists, libraries, and calendars, and managing user permissions
Responsible for integrating non-SharePoint related services into SharePoint applications as needed. We will be looking to create dashboards for internal management and leadership.
Level I&II troubleshooting the sites.
Liaison with SharePoint administration team as needed.
A successful Consultant will become an expert in information technology, technical writing, and project management. Candidates should have strong skills in at least one of these three specialties and some experience, professional or otherwise, working with the remaining two areas. The following is a list of related traits and skills needed to be successful in this position. First Info Tech does not expect that candidates will necessarily meet all of the items on this list.
IAT Level II certified - GSEC, Security+, SSCP, CCNA-Security
Secret level Security Clearance
Two or more years of experience with SharePoint development and content management. Specifically:
Knowledge of JQuery, CSS, HTML, ASP, or other scripting languages
Experience creating or troubleshooting SharePoint workflows * Two or more years functioning in an operational IT role with exposure to diverse IT architectures, demonstrating progressive growth of skills and responsibility
Experience completing or managing to completion projects/tasks/deliverables with minimal supervisory oversight
Advanced understanding of IT operations techniques
Advanced writing skills: able to clearly articulate ideas for executive level consumption as well as technical staff consumption
Advanced problem-solving skills: able to use prior experience and knowledge to address new situations; especially during interactions with clients
Advanced analytical skills: able to use prior experience and knowledge to seamlessly incorporate new knowledge or information during client interactions
Intermediate presentation skills: able to interview engineers on technical subject matter as well as brief executive level stakeholders
Basic understanding of information security principles and risk assessment techniques
