Job Description

About the Position

The individual who excels in this position will have demonstrated experience in multiple information security disciplines, including security governance, IAM, vulnerability management, data protection, and an insatiable desire and ability to develop new skills in the field of information security. The Senior Information Security Engineer will actively participate in incident response, security program and control design, implementation, administration, documentation and working with internal teams/external service providers on technical projects.

Normal Day-to-Day Work

Identify, engineer, implement, and govern security solutions to enhance the management of identities, access, data protection, and vulnerabilities.
Support the day-to-day maintenance of IAM platforms, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and working with business units to integrate applications.
Create and maintain framework, standards, processes and procedures around security disciplines with a special emphasis on IAM and data protection platforms and tasks.
Recommend, design, and advise on changes and additions to security controls and business application solutions.
Identify and track metrics related to the performance and impact of IAM and data protection programs.
Respond to and investigate alerts related to misuse of credit union technology.
Create and edit scripts for integration and analysis of IAM, DLP, and other security controls.
Stay abreast of tools, techniques and components utilized in the industry through research and apply this knowledge to system(s) being secured.
Work with end-users to identify and mitigate security threats.
Understand and support team, department, applicable credit union regulations (NCUA), policies and procedures, strategic goals and vision.

Job Qualifications

Here are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.

7 – 9 years of experience in an information security, systems administration or IT engineering role, with at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience directly related to this role.
Demonstrated experience with IAM and data protection systems, such as SSO, MFA, PAM, PKI, encryption, DLP and/or CASB solutions.
Experience with IDaaS solutions, such as Okta, Ping or Microsoft.
Knowledge and understanding of vulnerability management, security engineering, risk rating and systems administration concepts.
Experience tuning rules that identify sensitive data at rest and in transit.
Minimal travel required, must be able to work flexible hours and weekends as needed, as well as participate in a 24/7 rotation schedule.
Ability to function in a commercial business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including, but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).

Here are a few qualifications we’d LIKE you to have to make you more suited for this position.

BA/BS in Information Technology, Information Security, Information Assurance or equivalent experience.
Experience managing Microsoft Certificate Authorities, Active Directory, and ADFS.
Experience with regular expressions and scripting (PowerShell, python, bash, etc.).
Knowledge of other information security domains, such as incident response, vulnerability management, risk assessment, network security, etc.
Familiarity with network and systems administration and operations concepts.
Comfortable with multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Certifications in one or more Information Security Domains or on security platforms (Security+, GSEC, CISSP, GCIH, GCED, OCP/OCA, etc.).
