Job Description

IT CYBERSECURITY ANALYST:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, or a related discipline with an information security focus is required. Exceptional experience with an IT security certification may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Four years of IT experience with at least two years of recent information security related experience is required. Experience in at least one of the following: data security, system/network administration, database administration, auditing, systems analysis, and/or programming is beneficial.

IT CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, or related discipline with an IT focus is required. Exceptional experience with IT security related certification may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Seven years' recent IT related experience is required with at least five years' experience related to Information Security preferred. Experience in at least one of the following: system/network administration, database administration, systems analysis, and/or programming is required. Experience in environments subject to regulatory requirements like NERC CIP or PCI is preferred.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:
IT CYBERSECURITY ANALYST:
A foundational IT certification is required (Network+, MTA, CCENT, etc.). Progress toward obtaining security industry certifications is preferred (Security+, CEH).

IT CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER:
A foundational security certification is required (Security+, CEH, etc.). Advanced proficiency in security technologies required (NIDS, HIDS, packet analysis, etc.). Advanced certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), GIAC security certifications, etc., is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
IT CYBERSECURITY ANALYST:
Under the direction of the Supervisor-IT Cybersecurity or designee, is responsible for monitoring security-related activities, performing periodic risk assessments and security audits/reviews and providing support of various physical and logical security systems. Responsible for maintaining up-to-date security documentation, assisting with security education programs, and offering support for external audits. Provides systems administration support for various physical and logical security systems. Provides assistance on security related initiatives, technology research, and policy administration, as requested.

IT CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER:
Under the direction of the Supervisor-IT Cybersecurity or designee, the IT Cybersecurity Engineer (ICE) is responsible for executing the company’s global Information Security objectives. Under the direction of management, an ICE is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Information Security throughout the enterprise to safeguard the company’s information assets. Assists with the development and implementation of practical and achievable policies, procedures, and processes for the protection of business information, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and incorporating security best practices consistent with the corporate strategic plan. Assists the investigation of Information Security related incidents and provides management with a detailed report and recommended actions. Conducts technology risk assessments and implements necessary security controls. The ICE will act as a mentor for IT Cybersecurity Analysts (ICA) to increase their knowledge and effectiveness of securing CU resources.
