Job Description

Responsibilities

Typical teaching load is 24 credits (12 per semester),
Other duties as defined by the collective bargaining agreement including:
Demonstrated ability to teach effectively and/or perform effectively in other current assignments
Scholarly or creative achievement or research
Evidence of continuing preparation and study
Contributions to student growth and development
Service to the university and community

Qualifications

Required:

PhD in Computer Science or Information Technology or closely related field at the time of appointment
OR
MS in Computer Science or Information Technology or closely related field at the time of appointment with experience doing cybersecurity

Preferred:

PhD in Computer Science or Information Technology
Prior teaching experience at the university level in the area of Computer Science or Information Technology
Evidence of prior experience of teaching courses related to cybersecurity
A record of research and publications in the areas of Information Technology and/or Computer Science
Prior cybersecurity experience, including, but not limited to, any of the following:
Research in cybersecurity
Teaching in cybersecurity
Employment in cybersecurity
Cybersecurity-related certifications or degrees

Area of specialization: Cybersecurity or Cryptography or Security
Ability to develop new courses and modules
Ability or experience integrating modules pertaining to security throughout the curriculum
Willingness or experience developing online instruction
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
