RSS Feed: Example of Infocon level change?
Hey everyone,
I am trying to write an IFTTT recipe that sends me a notification when the Infocon level changes. I can see in the RSS feed that the Infocon level is in the title. However, IFTTT doesn't have the ability to compare against the title; it only looks at the individual items. Does the RSS feed contain an item level entry when the Infocon level changes, or is it only reflected in the feed title?

Thanks!

Please do not use the RSS feed for the infocon. Including the Infocon was a bad hack many years ago ( . I will probably soon remove the infocon.

The official way to check the infocon is our API:

isc.sans.edu/api/…

or

isc.sans.edu/api/… (if you prefer json)

I could add an element that will indicate the last time the infocon changed if that helps.

You can also use our simple text file with the infocon.

isc.sans.edu/…

Unfortunately, none of those are going to work with IFTTT. Oh well. Back to the drawing board :) Matt M.
