Used in World of Warcraft: You will see a spike of user activity whenever they have a patch and or add new content. The spike was indeed a day a content patch was released. Usually Tuesday will be the largest amount of activity due to Blizzards maint. schedule.

Used by the World of Warcraft installer to listen, which is a wrapper around bit torrent. This installer is legitimate but the file is so large (2 GB) that it takes about 20 hours to download. Could explain increased traffic on this port, as they are currently pushing an open (free) beta of this game.
